Nice place to stop. Busy beach being so close to town. Wasps were a but much on the beach area but no bother in the water. We would stop again for a day trip.
$35/night for full services, 30 amp pull through site. What it really costs, is $8/vehicle/night park fees, plus your site fee. So one vehicle is $43/night. And, what you really get, is a site no bigger than 20ft wide, with the electrical and water posts shared. So if you are the unlucky one, better bring an extra hose because your water won't reach. Better bring mats too, because you'll be tripping over your cord and hose whenever you walk through your site. Oh, and the water comes with a contamination warning, must boil before consuming. Sewer hookup is not shared, but ours was located under our neighbour's picnic table, and halfway through the lot, so you better bring a longer hose if you don't plan on moving your trailer to access that as well... Beach looks fine. There's a warning for swimmers itch telling swimmers to shower right after, but that shower will cost you (cause you haven't paid enough already apparently). The campsite is pretty loud as well, the highway is close and drowns out any quiet. The campground does appear to be well maintained though, which is a huge plus. Overall, we won't be back. There's a lot of great campsites in the area, we'll just make sure to land there vs here!
Great spot. Nice new golf course that wasn't here when I last stayed for work years ago. Hot showers. Nice lakes with wildlife. Fun in the sun.
I am sorry to say that the pictures on the website do not give you a true picture of this little campground. It is extremely expensive considering that you pay for the campsite AND you have to pay for a park entrance fee. The facilities are old and in need of a real cleaning and several repairs. Showers are expensive - this is not a private campground?The beach is nice enough but the facilities around it are not in good condition as well. We so looked forward to staying here but did not expect this. We stayed at the Riding Mountain National park and were very pleased with those facilities. I hope that this park gets some assitance from the Saskatchewan Govt for improvments.
A great campsite. Friendly welcome and always well maintained. New grass greens and plenty of bunkers (trust me I found enough of them) just opened this May 2018. Great white sand beach with slides and diving boards for the kids. Enough lake to enjoy some kayaking or canoeing. Lots of fun and would recommend highly.
