My Common Law was a former resident there, and I do regular deliveries there. This is a mobile park, with renovated units. The trailers were purchased as military surplus for a dollar each and have new exteriors and redone interiors. They sell for more than what a new trailer costs in park, and you cannot move them out of the park for 5 years, even if you buy it outright. As with most mobiles, they are a bit short on insulation. Very warm in summer, and freezing in Alberta winters, unless you leave the stove on for extra heat. The driveways have been patched up since she lived there, and it's mostly families with children there. Rent/purchase is a bit on the high side, considering competing parks in the area have lower rates per square foot, but that has more to do with the overheated housing market here in Lloyd. The management/owners are busy making improvements on the property, including trying to open a convenience store on property in what was the rental/purchase offices. Unit 12 is where the offices are now, across from the mailboxes and old rental office. Others living on the property I've met have mixed reviews, based mainly on rental costs. Until more housing that is within reach of working people is built, the rates here will be above the average.
Never had a problem here. Like the workers, like living here.
It's ok cause my buddy lives there and she's dope asf
Homeowners beware! Treated better as a renter then a homeowner in this park. Current economy and sky rocketed lot fees have trapped homeowners, while renters have seen a decrease. Many sales on our home have fallen through. Banks are not approving mortgages or loans on these units as lot fees outweigh the mortgage. Maintenance needed in the park such as driveways and paving neglected or "patched", threatened with lot increases due to sewage issues. Heartbroken and disappointed in our first home owning experience. New owners have recently taken over this park, we remain hopeful that cost and quality of living will improve with this change!
